Apps

Two apps for people, on hold

Alma and Drive are for people rather than organisations: both free, asking for no account, showing no ads, keeping nothing about you on our servers. Both are on hold while our effort goes to Academy and the tools it is taught with: they keep working as they are, and get no new features for now.

  • Alma

A phone that stays usable after a dementia diagnosis.

    • On hold
    • Free
    • No account
    • Android
    • End-to-end encrypted
    Get Alma

Alma replaces the home screen with a few large things you can do: call the people who matter, see their photos, read easy news, listen to music and the radio, press SOS. Nothing to remember, nothing to dismiss, no gesture to learn twice.

Calls are peer-to-peer and end-to-end encrypted, and nothing is stored on our servers, so there is no account to lose and no archive to breach. A family installs it in ten minutes on any Android phone; a helper can always unpin it.

  • Drive

A driving companion that works where the signal doesn't.

    • On hold
    • Free
    • No ads
    • Android · Android Auto
    • Offline maps
    Get Drive

Speed cameras, red lights, live incidents, fuel prices and turn-by-turn navigation, on the phone and on the car screen through Android Auto. Maps and camera positions live on the device, so it keeps working in a tunnel, on a mountain road or abroad.

Free and ad-free, by decision: there is no account, and a privacy promise is not one an ad network could keep. Spain, Portugal and France.

For organisations

Why a consultancy makes free apps

Alma and Drive are how we test our own technology on real people, under hard constraints, before we bring it to a client. What they run on, and what we can do for your organisation, is on the platform page.
